Posture Assessment

What is posture?

Posture is defined as “the position or attitude of the body or body parts that require minimum muscle energy to maintain the mechanically efficient function of the joint with musculoskeletal balance.”

Good posture is the body alignment that prevents injury throughout the lifetime. You must be performing tons of activities in your daily life like reaching, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, etc. which requires good posture.  Deviation from good posture will lead to injuries and pain. Pretty straightforward, isn't it?

Our therapist performs a detailed analysis by observing and evaluating your posture and body alignment and educating you about the normal posture, providing feedback, and designing therapeutic exercises to correct the muscle imbalance.  The Therapist will also discuss the required changes to your workstation to correct the ergonomics.
